If you have more than a few international participants, especially from developing countries, voice connectivity for the audio portion of the meeting can quickly become a problem. Don't forget clear instructions about audio, whether using teleconference or VOIP. Make sure you understand bandwidth and voice limitations of participants.

I just read mentions of Threads from three different people - Stephen Downes , Alan Levine , and Tim Lauer - and had to experiment. It's better if you view the slide show in its full size here. Threads is an online media album that allows people to make audio or text comments and embed those comments on the Slide Show.

Someone on the call had moderator access and was able to flip the slides (I had them memorized) and they also read any of the questions in the chat line to me. That only works with small groups on the phone, fewer than 12 or 15 people, not 100. video and having people type themes into the chat worked. No problem.
