Durff's Slide Show: Why Integrate Blogging

Beth's Blog: How Nonprofits Can Use Social Media

My twitter friend Durff asked for feedback on her slide show. The title slide - "Teaching to Transform" should be a second or two longer and then hit me a visual that shows "transformation" -- maybe a bored student and then an engaged one. The transitions and music is the same - a count to four beats of the music and the same transition. The rhytm of music is making me want more jump cuts and faster pace.

It does, apparently, do audio via VOIP.

The pitches included costumes, music, video filmed on-site, mock-ups, and social media demos. The audio-visual crew did a top-notch job juggling all the video, countdown clocks, slides, props and miking, adding to the sense that this social media stuff is really big-time.

About that Google Phone

Idealware

Since it's impossible to not compare this phone to the iPhone , then it's obvious that they could have provided a bigger screen or included a standard audio jack (the G1 comes with a mini-USB headset; otherwise, you need an adapter). No G1 owner is going to complain that it's modest increase in heft is due to the availability of a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. there's a functional media player, and an app that, like iTunes, connects to the Amazon music store.

Someone on the call had moderator access and was able to flip the slides (I had them memorized) and they also read any of the questions in the chat line to me. I wanted to use more video examples, but only selected one that was more of a music video in case the audio didn't work.

iLaw: Cyber Strategy for a Developing Nation

Photos of the slides. The initial cyberstrategy was to capitalize on the inmates' interest in music by using music as a means of teaching digital skills. He described the curriculum where inmates learn both computer skills and the recording/audio production skills and the classroom space (with "walls made of radio signals"). I was particularly eager to hear the afternoon lecture , Cyber Strategy for a Developing Nation , by Charles Nesson at iLaw.
