It's easiest to open if you slide the keyboard out. The Pre doesn't include voice memos or any other tool for recording audio through the mic. I used Audacity Audio to record meetings on my Treo, but it won't work with the Pre. But no one seems to offer that. NB: plugging in the USB cable requires opening a small port cover.
