His one for one business model concept grew out of a day of volunteer work while on vacation in Argentina. Blake poignantly said it wasn’t the day that he came up with the concept of TOMS shoes that changed his life, it was the day he distributed his first donation of TOMS Shoes to children in Argentina.

When I joined, we were a staff of three, and we're now at 55 in two countries: the US and Argentina. It was, and continues to be, a great crew of people.

One of my colleagues in Argentina has started to use it for Idealistas.org and she's inspired me to take another look at it and set up some goals of my own. It's harder to find correlations between incremental site changes and the ebb and flow of web traffic. Top Content is another feature that is extremely valuable.
