According to AmeriCorps, the national average volunteer retention rate is 65%. It should also reinforce your organizations mission and provide volunteers with an outlet to ask questions. There are many reasons why a volunteer may stop giving their time. It is up to your organization to identify the cause and re-spark the passion.

I am part of the Digital Arts Service Corps, which is an initiative of the Transmission Project that pairs tech-savvy AmeriCorps Vistas with organizations dedicated to supporting community media and technology. I kept the original questions for the first two spaces (Who is your community? and What do they want to do?).
