This past Sunday was October 10th, 2010 – also know as 101010, the Global Work Day for climate action supported by 350.org This means that sewage spills into rivers and streams, contaminating drinking water and causing disease.

Facebook: Is it Worth your Nonprofit’s Time?

In 2010, 78% of nonprofits surveyed by NTEN who had raised money on Facebook raised $1K or less in 12 months. Staff said that Facebook helped build enthusiasm for events when people reposted the info and shared it with friends. I was surprised to see these results because getting people to attend offline events is not a low barrier.
