I’ve used a variety of email clients of one sort or another over time, and I have recently just decided to ditch them, and use gmail exclusively. I use Google Reader for RSS feeds, and TweetDeck , or, more recently, HootSuite for Twitter (I really like the tabbed interface of HootSuite. It works for multiple projects.

So the need for repentance and atonement (which I know are important spiritual practices) for me have always been disconnected from the idea of Lent, that time before Easter. I love that Atonement can also look like At-one-ment - and a time for that is a good thing. For me, repentance is a practice that has to happen all year long.

This was the year that nonprofits discovered twitter, and the year I integrated twitter into my workflow. I haven’t yet become an Evernote devotee, but I might.

I figured it was time to give my final assessment. Here are the good things: Even macs get weird sometimes, especially if they’ve been on for a long time. The only time I shut down this laptop is when I’m taking it somewhere, which is relatively rarely. I love apt-get/aptitude.

I’ve used more FTP clients in my time than I can even begin to remember, from command-line ftp, to WS-FTP, and lots and lots of others (I have this memory of a really old, clunky FTP client for Mac OS 7 or something that I was using a lot, when all filesharing was via FTP.) I use it all the time, and I really like it.
