The difference between real time and blogs

While I believe the best bloggers in the world are participating outside of their blog, on Twitter, FriendFeed, Facebook and everywhere else, to only participate in those areas leaves a gaping hole. And that’s the reason why I think the so-called real-time web (Facebook, FriendFeed, Twitter, etc.)

Verizon Wireless: Look, our phones can tweet too!

Step aside, iPhone…you can Twitter on this thing. Many of the folks looking at the ad over their Sunday coffee aren’t sure what Twitter is exactly, but they’ve heard about it and know it has to mean the phone is cool. It seems that’s what Twitter is about these days to the mainstream. I know, I know.

It’s conference week! Dreamforce and Convio Summit

I don’t know for sure what will be announced later this morning, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see some sort of “Pro&# offering for Twitter powered by Salesforce, along with better integration of Twitter into the Salesforce UI. Which is good, because I find the current Salesforce/Twitter offering to be a bit ho-hum.

If Google+ was a comfy couch at a conference…

I don’t see any value there over Facebook or Twitter or here on my blog. Tagged: facebook , Google. For it to work for me, Google+ has to be less about broadcasting updates than it is about sharing with personal connections. I hope it stays that way. More intimate. Easier to just happen thanks to the black bar.
