Lame spam of the day: weight loss blog comment

Some sounds convincing, but my spam filters (Akismet and Bad Behavior) are incredibly good at catching them. Some of the lamest spam I see comes in the form of comments on my blog posts. It's particularly entertaining when the spam is trying to link to one of my spam of the day posts.). Here's an example.

Setting up my new Thinkpad T400S

3) No sound. This seems to be a hardware failure, as I've tried updating the sound card driver, BIOS, and all other recommended troubleshooting steps. Currently I can view Flash videos in FireFox but not in Internet Explorer. I've barely scratched the surface of testing my software and expect many more unpleasant surprises.

The San Francisco Chronicle published an article about everywun.com , a new click-to-give site.

The continuing saga of the new T400S

Once I got my stuff moved over I started playing with the laptop and found that it had no sound. The Lenovo system diagnostics and Device Manager said everything was functioning normally, but I had no sound through the speakers -- only through the headphone jack. I fixed that with an application called TakeOwnership.

New Survey: America’s Nonprofits in Danger

The report makes it sounds like a significant number of nonprofits are about to close their doors. Just 16% anticipate being able to cover their operating expenses in both 2009 and 2010. 31% don’t have enough operating cash in hand to cover more that one month of expenses, and another 31% have less than three months’ worth.

First impressions of the HTC Rezound smartphone

The reviews of Windows phones were intriguing, but the OS doesn't sound mature yet. Maybe in a few years. So I bought an HTC Rezound (only available for Verizon). The Rezound is my first Android device. While I'm not finding the OS as intuitive and elegant as Palm's OS, I like it better than Apple's IOS.
