In 2011, we began collaborating with the Mada Center (Qatar Assistive Technology Center) to create accessible Arabic-language digital books. To increase utilization of our Arabic collection, Mada offers free Bookshare memberships to qualified individuals in Qatar as well as training and advice on the use of assistive technology.

Visit to Qatar

after my first visit to the country of Qatar. The government of Qatar hosted the conference, and underwrote travel and accommodation. Mada: Qatar Assistive Technology Center Since the conference didn’t get formally going until noon on Sunday, I had the chance to squeeze in a morning visit to Qatar’s ICT Ministry.
