These aren't as lame-looking as most of the spam I write about: they use the right logos, fonts, and typefaces. The giveaways are: 1) Hover over the links and see where they point before clicking (that's the best way to prevent phishing attacks and malware infections from spam). 3) I got a dozen of the Amazon spams.

Lame spams of the day: eBay and Paypal transfers

First clue it's spam: when you get 10 versions of the same message. Your Ebay confirmation of your transaction through Paypal. The subjects and first lines of the messages were: Paypal transfer to your bank account initiated. We are transferring funds from Your Paypal account to your bank account. Buyer Brody Morse.

Lame spam of the day: Warning PayPal Account Placed on hold

Fake PayPal notices are common as dirt, but this one stands out for its lameness. It does have some design elements (small PayPal logo, blue font, borders) -- it's the text that's lame -- empty merge fields, typos, random capitalization. There's even a typo in the fake From address (PayPal with two L's). Refards, PayPal.
