I had barely touched Joomla before I started playing with a Soapbox Engage demo, and it took me maybe 30 minutes to learn my way around the basics without any tutorials or guidance. This is ideal for organizations that have to quickly put up or change a form without having to worry about getting a web developer involved.

And it was cumbersome to organize and build. This application makes building step-by-step tutorials so incredibly easy. I considered making a private Posterous or blog for the docs, but I think I'm going to stick to HTML where the template is easier to edit, and I can more easily organize content and embed in Salesforce.

Using email templates and workflow rules, this is super easy to set up in Salesforce. I'm surprised how many nonprofits I talk to using Salesforce don't realize how easy this is. Just click and go.

This year, there were enough nonprofit organizations already on Common Ground to warrant a session or two aimed at users, rather than just to sell existing Convio clients to the application as was found at previous Summits. I just got back from 3 fabulous days in Baltimore at the Convio Summit user conference. Nice time saver.
