And it was cumbersome to organize and build. Rather than rehash what it does, here's their overview movie which explains it: You can export your lesson/manuals to HTML, Word or PDF and customize the template. I took screenshots with Skitch , recorded movies with Jing. Took forever. The problem is that things change.

While Common Ground’s batch tool was far from perfect, a lot of organizations used it and relied on it. At this point you can’t create batch templates, but you can clone an existing batch record so you don’t have to reset the fields each time. When the batch record is set, you start to Add Entries.

Disadvantages: In the past 2 years, Salesforce has introduced more updates that benefit organizations that have a traditional account<->opportunity model than I can count. A nonprofit either used the nonprofit template or they went off on their own to custom development on the basic Enterprise edition. That means that approximately 60% are using other applications such as Convio Common Ground or Luminate, the old template, Affinaquest , Outreach Suite or any number of combinations. Think about it.
