Donna is the main reason I'm involved with this project: she's an itinerant teacher of the blind in rural Minnesota. In addition to meeting with key leaders and visiting schools, Donna McNear really wanted me to see blind children in their homes. She has also made Micronesia her professional mission focus.

She is a University of Minnesota law school professor who was born in Africa and is a terrific advocate for the Treaty and its empowerment of the blind community. Bookshare was there with two offers. First, Bookshare has more than 200,000 accessible titles in English available to blind people in Africa.
