Salesforce was originally just a business-to-business tool. Now Salesforce comes along with their big Social strategy. The opening day keynote was all about the Social Enterprise. The idea is that a salesperson can use social media to get to the know the individuals who make decisions about deals.

On the surface, it appears to be a platform that allows for real-time rich media collaboration with a Google spin. A few adventurous folks will try it out in their real-world communities (work, social communities, family networks, etc.). I’m still trying to figure it out.
