Honoring International Women’s Day 2022

During Women’s History Month, we are excited to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2022. This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias.

Imagine a gender-equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality.

At Forum One, we’re about half women and we’re working to address biases and increase gender and other aspects of equity through training and development of Staff Managers and reviewing the equity of our compensation. Thanks to the women in Forum One for being important teammates!

As we highlight our staff who are crossing their arms to be part of the movement on social media today, we also wanted to highlight our clients doing important work celebrating women’s achievements, raising awareness against bias, and taking action for women’s equality.

Catalyst is a global nonprofit with a 50-year record of building equitable workplaces for women. Catalyst partners with leading companies like Target, Facebook, Habitat for Humanity, and The Nature Conservancy to help realize inclusive workplace cultures, reduce the effects of unconscious bias, and advance women at all stages of their careers.

Forum One partnered with Catalyst to redesign their digital presence in WordPress to connect target audiences including executives, managers, and professional women and men with actionable resources to improve their work lives.

Within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is the primary federal agency tasked with improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated, or medically vulnerable.

Forum One is supporting the agency’s digital communications with strategy and implementation support spanning web development and production, social media, analytics, and omnichannel digital marketing campaigns for 12 bureaus and offices within the agency, including their office of Women’s Health and the Maternal Health program.

Women’s actions in peacebuilding and post-conflict reconstruction are vital for peace, stability, and security, while the inclusion of women in the broader economy fuels growth, creates jobs, and advances inclusive prosperity. The Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security (GIWPS) promotes global peace, stability, and justice by focusing on the key roles women play in preventing conflict, growing economies, addressing global threats, and building sustainable peace.

Forum One worked closely with the GIWPS team to identify the priorities for a unique digital presence. We designed and developed a custom website that includes a powerful and integrated storytelling component—“Profiles in Peace”—that allows GIWPS to create its own voice on the platform where site visitors can view videos and oral histories from around the globe.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children who are found to be at nutritional risk. Ensuring that these families are able to effectively access important information from their state’s WIC program is crucial.

Forum One worked with the CDPHE to redesign its WIC program website to more effectively share its resources and engage its diverse audiences to increase program participation and retention. We are currently working with the team to host and support their website, as well as providing ongoing data support for a larger digital transformation to modernize their digital ecosystem.

We are proud to have partnered with these organizations and others who forge a gender-equal world and positive visibility of women, challenge gender stereotypes and bias, and celebrate women’s achievements. We are grateful for the women of Forum One and the lasting impact they create everyday.
