After transferring my data and software using Laplink (and after figuring out that I had to decrypt my files first) I found that everything was owned by some mystery account. I found that their software wouldn't install under Windows 7. I tried the instructions to install and run Microsoft's SubInACL program, but that didn't fix it.

I removed PDFMaker from the Word startup file according to these instructions and no longer get error messages. I’ve tried lots of free PDF creation software and haven’t found one that resolves these problems. Tags: Software. It’s not worth it to me buy an upgrade to Acrobat just to resolve this issue.

It may seem like the wrong tool was selected, it doesn’t do what it was supposed to do, or the instructions aren’t written clearly enough. Are you trying to solve a lack of strategy or broken processes by throwing software at the problem? We need to get this up and running in the next 3 weeks.
