Great Coverage of our Bookshare India Announcement

We just announced the launching of Bookshare.org in India, and the response from the Indian press was immediate. The Times of India wrote For print-disabled, reading bestsellers is just a click away. The Indian Express said Bookshare.org inks pact with three organisations in India.

My first visit after the India Economic Summit was to National Association for the Blind (India) to see Dipendra Manocha.

My last stop in New Delhi was to visit the American India Foundation, which is the largest Silicon Valley/India foundation. We wrapped up with a lunch back at the AIF offices, where I got to meet Shankar Venkateswaran, the head of AIF in India, and many of his team.

At the India Economic Summit, Vikram Akula of SKS, the microfinance institution, won the award today. One of the more interesting sessions was the discussion of the main risks India is facing. Big social entrepreneurship event here in New Delhi! Mrs. Sonia Gandhi was on hand for the presentation, and I understand that's unusual honor.
