November 19, 2021 [Asheville, NC] – Cloud for Good, alongside the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) and Dallas College, today announced a partnership to provide an apprenticeship pathway to jobs in the Salesforce ecosystem for new and recent graduates. This announcement comes after Cloud for Good announced a similar partnership with Pepperdine University.

With the acceleration of digital transformation from the COVID-19 pandemic, many of America’s over 10 million unfilled jobs are in fast-growing sectors of the tech economy like the Salesforce ecosystem. Research suggests employers are currently unable to fill hundreds of thousands of Salesforce developer and admin positions, and enterprise demands for Salesforce skills will require another 2.9 million trained workers in the U.S. in just the next 3 years.

Recognizing that employers are seeking candidates with not only Salesforce skills but also relevant work experience, Cloud for Good, a consulting firm delivering Salesforce solutions to the higher education and nonprofit sectors, has launched Talent for Good, an apprenticeship program that allows Cloud for Good clients to hire newly trained Salesforce talent after they’ve had the opportunity to try out the new talent on Cloud for Good projects.

To accelerate the recruitment of candidates for the Talent for Good apprenticeship program, Cloud for Good is launching a Dallas Hub in partnership with UNT Dallas and Dallas College, two postsecondary education leaders providing socioeconomic mobility and workforce development in Dallas-Fort Worth and the North Texas region.

Talent for Good will actively recruit new and recent graduates from both UNT Dallas and Dallas College for the apprenticeship program. All UNT Dallas and Dallas College graduates from all programs are welcome to apply; no previous Salesforce skills or experience is required. Accepted applicants will be hired by Cloud for Good and paid as apprentices from the start of the 12-week training program. After completing training, apprentices will join Cloud for Good project teams serving higher education and nonprofit institutions across the U.S. Ultimately, Cloud for Good expects clients to hire the apprentices.

Cloud for Good Founder and CEO Tal Frankfurt said he is excited to forge this Dallas Hub of Talent for Good with UNT Dallas and Dallas College to provide a solution for clients in desperate need of trained Salesforce talent. “While Salesforce is an incredibly powerful platform for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of higher education and nonprofit institutions, the transformative power of Salesforce is limited by the availability of talent. Each year, UNT Dallas and Dallas College graduate many diverse, talented young Americans who are capable of learning the Salesforce platform. Through this partnership, we look forward to giving them this opportunity.”

UNT Dallas President Bob Mong said the partnership with Cloud for Good is just one of many examples of his commitment to the economic advancement of graduates. “Talent for Good is a great example of a new pathway that will provide UNT Dallas graduates with not only the skills but the relevant work experience they need for a successful launch in the digital economy. With a huge need for trained Salesforce talent in Dallas, I can think of no more productive apprenticeship pathway than the Talent for Good pathway to Salesforce careers.”

Dallas College Chancellor Joe May commented that “Dallas College works to ensure that Dallas County is vibrant, growing, and economically viable for future generations. In joining Cloud for Good and UNT Dallas in Talent for Good’s Dallas Hub, our institution is doubling down on our efforts and forming a true partnership with like-minded organizations and institutions looking to create profitable, fulfilling, and long-lasting careers for our community.”
