There's no doubt about it. Modern technology has taken over the way people and organizations communicate with one another. Getting your message out there is as easy as the click of a button. And the nonprofit community is increasingly making use of the same advanced communication delivery systems that the for-profit world has been using for years: namely online and interactive campaign strategies.

Generally speaking, nonprofits have taken a little longer to adopt newer technologies into their sector. But they are waking up to the tremendous potential of tools like the Internet, streaming video, and blogs to aid in their quest for funding and to elevate public awareness of their causes. While traditional methods of fundraising, donor communication and recognition (read: mail-outs, phone drives, newspaper ad campaigns, etc.) remain in place for many charities and foundations, technology is revolutionizing the way they go about their business."
