To make finding this info easier, I started building wiki pages for documenting how we at C3 do what we do. And when they do I'd have to redo/update the documentation. And it was cumbersome to organize and build. I took screenshots with Skitch , recorded movies with Jing. Took forever. The problem is that things change.

It was difficult to roll out in a cookie-cutter fashion to many organizations at once…which when you're a large company dealing with smaller organizations I suppose is probably key to a product's financial success. Organizations had nearly unlimited flexibility in what they could do on top of what was in the package.

It’s not mentioned on the main Starter Pack page or in the documentation. While Common Ground’s batch tool was far from perfect, a lot of organizations used it and relied on it. The fields on the Add Contact record screen are also entirely customizable with an organization’s own preferred fields.

It’s a bit of training, a bit of documentation, a bit of reworking processes, a bit of liaison and bridge-building internally and externally. The big difference is that instead of bringing knowledge and connection back to one organization, I’m bringing it back to all organizations on Common Ground.
