Just how frustrating is it that it only works with old-style Google Accounts and not Google Apps accounts. One difference is apparent to me: On Facebook, your posts are shared as widely as possible by default and you can take an extra step to exclude people. How difficult will it be to maintain when everyone is let in? That will pass.

It took a while, but I finally have a template that seems to be working well for us: I’ve tested the template in Outlook (2003 and 2007), Gmail, AOL, Yahoo and Apple Mail and it looks just like the screen shot above, or close enough. For starters, it only works in Internet Explorer.

No difference. It took me 2 tries to get my finger on the right spot in time, but sure enough it works. I had her bring it over to me, and sure enough, click "iTunes" and it flashes for a second and switches over to App Store, using the same animated motion as I see on my iOS 4 iPhone when you use fast app switching.

If This Then That is a simple web app (that works beautifully from an iPad, by the way) that allows you to set up automated recipes that connect and extend already existing web apps.

Convio Common Ground already has a rather nice campaign segmentation tool which does this kind of “Show me everyone who is in Campaign A but not in Campaign B” type work quite nicely. Nice touch, and works exactly as you would expect in the pre-release org. This is a huge thing for nonprofits. Interesting.

It’s the first time the gamble didn’t work out for me. The big difference is the new built-in battery, and I’m torn on that. I bought a 13″ MacBook 10 days ago, and this afternoon Apple announces a brand new 13″ MacBook Pro. My MacBook is 2.4 Ghz while the new one is a slightly faster 2.53 Same L2 cache.

If I have non-work time, I’d rather be knitting. And it’s okay to admit it’s not working and start something else. When I fell “asleep,” knitting was a different world. When I’m knitting, it’s all I can do not to knit 25 hours a day. Thing is, until this week, I hadn’t touched knitting needles since late 2001/early 2002.

Yes, we’re making a difference against colorectal cancer, and that’s ultimately our big-picture goal. It’s almost as ridiculous as saying that every geek “works in computers.”.
