I decided to install WP rather than use their hosting because it seemed like that gave me more control over the design and plug-ins. 3) I worked with Robyn to customize my chosen theme, choose colors, fonts, design the navigation, tweak the layout, etc.

Lame spam of the day: Warning PayPal Account Placed on hold

It does have some design elements (small PayPal logo, blue font, borders) -- it's the text that's lame -- empty merge fields, typos, random capitalization. Fake PayPal notices are common as dirt, but this one stands out for its lameness. There's even a typo in the fake From address (PayPal with two L's).

These spams aren't 100% lame -- at least they included a logo and some design elements. Hey, spammers: how about deduping your mailing lists? I got 22 of these on Monday. This article says they're malware delivery devices.

Consultants say business is picking up. Trend?

The consultants I spoke to work on database implementations, capital campaigns, web design, marketing, and strategic planning. The responses were consistent: January and February were dead, but inquiries picked up significantly in March and April. My first thought: nonprofits are starting to invest again.
