Thoughts on the Blackbaud – Convio deal

Robert Weiner

Lots of people have already weighed in on Blackbaud’s purchase of Convio (two of my favorites: [link] and [link] ). .&# It takes aim at Convio’s recent benchmarking study. To their credit Convio asks this question on their blog : “Should organizations like Convio, and Giving USA continue to offer these sorts of insights to the nonprofit community, or is this simply self-serving marketing fluff?&# What do you think?

Integration of CMS and CRM - Preamble

Zen and the Art of Nonprofit Technology

I haven’t included any all-in-one systems (like Kintera), mostly because I don’t think they are a good idea - you might get a halfway decent CRM, but you’ll for sure get a crappy CMS, and there is no good reason for that.
