So much lame spam, so little time to blog about it. Text: BUSINESS FOR YOU, CONTACT ME THROUGH MY PRIVATE EMAIL: sydneywalter58@yahoo.com. Here's today's example. No graphics, all caps, the From address doesn't match the "write me at" address. Does it get any lamer? Sender: Tesfaye, Fanuel (f.tesfaye@unesco.org). Subject: HELLO.

A bunch of these have accumulated in my spam folder. I am contacting you regarding promotional items for your company. No logo, no formatting, no attempt to look like they come from a business I'd be familiar with. They look like they actually came from gmx.com so maybe they're merely annoying rather than malicious.

Lots of spam is coming from fake LinkedIn accounts these days. If you're having difficulty redeeming a coupon code, please contact the seller first to see if they have discontinued use of that code in their shop. Instantly contact your bank. Most of it is more scary than lame -- it uses the right logo, colors, and fonts.

This spam arrived in the form of a meeting invitation. My Outlook spam filter (SpamBayes) doesn''t seem to look at meeting invitations, and it also slipped past the SpamAssassin filter on my mail server. Scam Spam' I''m not sure if this one is lame (the subject, text, and double salutation are certainly lame) or clever.

Some newbie spammer posted a message on my site that shows the contents of their spam merge database. I recognize so many snippets that have appeared in my spam folder over the years. { {I have|I’ve} been {surfing|browsing} online more than {three|3|2|4} hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
