Giving Nonprofits a Little Valentine’s Day Love

    Make Valentine’s Day more meaningful.

Why not a donation instead of (or in addition to) flowers and chocolate?

Another year means another Valentine’s Day is on its way. No matter how you celebrate the holiday, whether you’re exchanging sweets and greeting cards or simple “I love yous”, it’s a time to show the important ones in your life a little extra love.

While cards and gifts that sparkle have a history with the holiday, why not consider an update to your traditional gift-giving? Whether you’re celebrating with the one you love in person or you’re miles apart, donating to a charity in their name can be something that makes their Valentine’s Day extra special.  Your love feels love, and in turn, you #LoveACharity.

    Donating For Couples

Surprising your sweetheart with a heartfelt card and a donation dedicated in their name is thoughtful and allows for others to be positively impacted through your generosity.

For couples who typically don’t exchange gifts on Valentine’s Day, another option would be to make a donation. Sit down together and find a charity that resonates with both of you and make a donation. You could celebrate your love for a pet by supporting an animal welfare organization. Or, perhaps give to organizations helping families in crisis or those addressing issues in underserved communities.

Couples seeking a more engaged experience should also explore community volunteer efforts, or inquire about virtual , and have a volunteer date on or around the 14th!

    Donating For Families

We encourage parents to turn the holiday into a learning experience associated with giving back to others. Having kids involved in philanthropic assessments is a great way to allow them to spread love to those in need.

This coming Valentine’s Day, you can still have the chocolates, the flowers, and even gifts that fit into small boxes, but why not choose to #LoveACharity?
