Screen capture of video blog I was an early adopter of video blogging and screencasting. I really miss making videos and screencasts. have been knee deep researching and thinking about Web Analytics in general and Google Analytics in particular for a third screencast in a series I'm doing for NTEN. The other two included my tagging and widgets screencasts). The screencast will include a companion wiki with resources to aid further explanation. Young Einstein.

Something that has eluded me is how to directly embed the YouTube Video. I've always had an elegant solution - include a hyper link to the YouTube Page. It isn't that hard to do and the above screencast will show you how. I'm knee deep in creating some new workshop curriculum. Something that has eluded me is how to.

How To Download YouTube Videos. VideoJug - Life Explained on Film is an excellent site for instructional videos and screencasts on a wide range of topics, including some fantastic how-to content for social networks and other tools. The example above is one that plucked from the socialnetworking tagged videos.

Several months ago, Alan Levine (cogdog blog) put up a video in YouTube called " I didn't Know You Could Do That With YouTube " for a K-12 technology conference. and expressed frustration about how YouTube is blocked. This got me curious about the educational content on YouTube and Harry and I did some guided research.

I'm glad I went to the trouble of having a backup plan, particularly for the Screencasting Session at NTC which include showing some screencast. Michael Stein (East Coast), who attended the session, emailed me today and asked how I managed to download the screencasts on YouTube. What I did was download local copies.
