As I spent the Thanksgiving weekend pondering gratitude, MySpace made the top of my list of things to be grateful for. If it were not for MySpace, my professional life no doubt would be much less fulfilling. And for that, I will be eternally grateful to MySpace and the “Nonprofit Organizations MySpace community.

was running over 20 social networking profiles, logging in seven days a week, and at minimum pulling 60-hour work weeks. Even when I wasn’t at home at my desk, I was on my iPhone updating Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc. am now down to 7 profiles, 5 days a week, and a 45-50 hour work week. from working on the weekends.

On MySpace, select the setting that you require that you view the comments before posting, then don’t post and remove them from your friends. Thousands of nonprofits haven’t logged into their MySpace profiles in months, or even a year or more. That said, MySpace is not dead. created the Nonprofit Organizations MySpace in 2006. But in the case of MySpace, I make an exception. And traffic from MySpace to my blog is way up.

A couple of good articles about how nonprofits are using myspace and some dos and don'ts this week. I have a myspace site but I haven't done any deep experimination. MySpace and Political Campaigns Joshua Levy at the Personal Democracy Forum wrote about the use of MySpace for political campaigns and by advocacy organizations.
