Both staff and visitors host TV programs in the space that range from interviews to game shows to salon chair ministries. newer kid on the block, PieLab is a community center and pie shop in rural Alabama, started by a group of designers who believe that design can improve the world one small community at a time. So, as with so much of the content and programs NTEN provides, our members step in to help out: all of our 501 Tech Clubs are organized by local volunteers. Tuesday was my first day volunteering with the "reading partners" program at my neighborhood public elementary school. You can help fund everything from Gardening Club Supplies in Brooklyn, to a computer for a classroom in Alabama, or new recess equipment for a school in Indiana. find it helps keep life in perspective. Be flexible.
