As I spent the Thanksgiving weekend pondering gratitude, MySpace made the top of my list of things to be grateful for. If it were not for MySpace, my professional life no doubt would be much less fulfilling. And for that, I will be eternally grateful to MySpace and the “Nonprofit Organizations MySpace community.

The more people argue with them, the more active they will get on your page. On MySpace, select the setting that you require that you view the comments before posting, then don’t post and remove them from your friends. You want to encourage more activity on most Pages, not restrict it. You have to moderate. They are gone.

Thousands of nonprofits haven’t logged into their MySpace profiles in months, or even a year or more. That said, MySpace is not dead. created the Nonprofit Organizations MySpace in 2006. There are lots of friendly activists and comment fairies on MySpace that do care very much about social causes and nonprofits.

There are more than 65 million active users currently accessing Facebook through their mobile devices and that number grows daily. MySpace estimates that 50% of its Website traffic will be mobile within 24 months. Perhaps an iPhone or two is something your organization should write into next year’s budget?

I'm prepping for a workshop on Social Media and wanted do a round up of recent compelling examples of arts organizations using social media strategies and tools.
