It’s kinda sad when a blog looks abandoned, isn’t it? When I started blogging way back in January 2003, there weren’t a lot of other places where I could communicate and express myself publicly. And who knows, maybe I’ll pick up the blogging bug again some day. I will be forever grateful.

The difference between real time and blogs

Louis Gray has a wonderful post on the subject that reflects my own opinion, “Blogging Is Still the Foundation In A World of Streams.&#. I think there’s another benefit to a blog: it’s a mandatory time out.

A move to Posterous in 2010?

My efforts to revitalize my blog were hit & miss in 2009. It has been 7 years since I started blogging. My blog has always been my playground. Blogging is no exception. No matter how hard I tried to make it easier, blogging is still a chore. It’s easy to get content in. Not anymore.

We’re all together now

When I first dropped my self-hosted blog and relocated it to Posterous last year after a bit of a hacking incident , I had trouble importing the old content. So as a quick fix I dropped it here, on WordPress.com , so as not to lose everything going back to 2003. I’m sure I missed a few here and there. I can live with that.

Don’t you hate it when your database goes poof?

More troubling, the title of the blog was changed to a funky spam link. When we looked in phpMyAdmin, 6 years of blog content was gone. After the content was restored, I had to reset my.htaccess file and some Thesis settings. Tags: WordPress Blogging. I couldn’t log in to wp-admin. WordPress 2.3
