The project that I volunteered at with fifteen other Convio employees was a classroom makeover for a local Austin school, Gus Garcia Middle School. Communities in Schools works with other nonprofit organizations to bring programs into schools to help students with academics, social issues, counseling, mentoring, and financial support.

During a panel on fundraising, Donors Choose raised enough money to fund a music classroom project in Austin. am ready to do big things, help people, and make some real strides this year. I helped coin the term Social Media for Social Good awhile back and this weekend I am making it happen again. No money. Starting at 4pm today they will drive us to downtown Austin and drop us off.
