3 Nonprofit Newsletters You Need in Your Inbox

It can be tough to convince yourself to subscribe to a newsletter—especially if you already have dozens of them flooding your inbox each week. But there are reasons why we and millions of others subscribe: they provide useful, concise information; we know when to expect them; they can be sleek and pretty. It seems like just about every company on the planet has a newsletter now-a-days, but there are some that are just plain better. Here are a few of our favorites.

Chronicle of Philanthropy

It’d be misguided not to include Chronicle’s wide array of newsletters in this post. Whether you’re an on-the-go-type worker with only a few minutes to spare per day, or you can’t get enough nonprofit content, Chronicle has a newsletter for you.

Chronicle doesn’t only provide top-notch nonprofit journalism. In fact, they have newsletters dedicated to fundraising and nonprofit management tips. And, if you’re willing to spend a little extra, they have premium newsletters with even more insider info.

Network for Good

Network for Good is a well-established titan in the nonprofit software industry. But on top of their software packages, they provide awesome content for nonprofit professionals and those trying to get their start in the field. In their weekly newsletter, they give run-downs of upcoming webinars and classes, provide free-to-download resources and link to other free educational content.

charity:water

We’ve written a lot on our blog about the importance of storytelling in the nonprofit sphere, and charity:water harnesses the power of stories every week in their newsletter. They tell stories about the work they’re doing and how they’re doing it, but, more importantly, they’re telling stories about the people their work is affecting. And it doesn’t hurt that it looks beautiful, too.

A shameless plug

Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t talk about our own awesome newsletter, the Hubcap. Each week, we send a recap of the previous week’s content along with reminders of upcoming events hosted by Nonprofit Hub. It’s pretty great, and you can subscribe here.
