My first instinct is that the changes below are going to significantly impact nonprofits, and in some cases, not in a good way. Having a good community builder as your Facebook Admin will be essential.

Last week the Nonprofit Organizations Facebook Page reached the 10,000 fans milestone. In 2008, many of the friends of the Nonprofit Organizations MySpace migrated over to Facebook, then in 2009 and 2010 a good number of the new fans came from @NonprofitOrgs on Twitter. This was a Facebook litmus test for me.

Neither does linking to desktop sites inside smartphone apps, in group text alerts, or on location-based communities like Foursquare, Gowalla and Facebook Places. Some, but not much.
