Meet the Bookshare in-house summer volunteer team!

Our main focus has been our text book image description project. Our summer volunteers write text book image descriptions, review and revise descriptions, provide technical assistance, and proofread children’s books with new image descriptions. Originally I did book metadata adjustments and wrote synopses. And I LOVE it!

Visit to Qatar

It was a lightning visit of only two days (Sunday and Monday), with a focus on attending the World Economic Forum's Global Redesign Summit 2010 (the GRI). We’ve just added our first books in Tamil and Hindi (two national languages of India), and so it was fun to brainstorm about the possibilities.
