Many Arc chapters have joined the socialmedia-sphere in 2009. Open APIs and deals between social media sites. News organizations that continue to use social media even though there isn’t revenue in it. People are still trying to figure out how to raise money through social media. Twitter lists.

A new study by the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Center for Marketing Research also found that 97% of large charities have a Facebook page as of 2009. The study found that charities adopted social media faster and the adoption was more widespread than for-profit use. 65% had blogs. 36% had LinkedIn pages.

This is a drop from 69 percent during the same period in 2009. I believe this proves the increase in global use of social media. A new report from Semiocast came out stating that half of all messages on Twitter are not in English. Are you speaking in your audience’s languages? What language is your audience using?
