In December 2009, Facebook announced that Boxes would be removed, Tabs would shrink in size to 520 pixels, and Status Updates showing up in the News Feed(s) would no longer be guaranteed (the more Comments and Thumbs Up your Status Updates receive, the more News Feed exposure you get).
