The documents show that as recently as 2008 ERI was quietly selling large volumes of e-waste to a Los Angeles exporter who shipped it to Hong Kong. Much of it was labeled as reusable electronics. This is a particular sore point for us at TechSoup which has been advocating for electronics reuse.

They have recently published Greenwashes of the Year 2008 and here are some of their findings: Fiji Water's new green campaign. To ship their bottles of water to Los Angeles (the closest Fiji Water destination point in the US) it is 5,500 miles per trip.

Since the meeting was taking place in Los Angeles, FFOG was graciously allowed me to present remotely with Liz Karlin. Sometimes it has worked swimmingly like this one with Amy Sample Ward in 2008, other times not. In the past, I have presented remotely using skype audio and video. We had a very reliable Internet connection.

On March 19th, 2008, after spending 8 days in the hospital related to her multiple sclerosis, Cami Walker decided to give away one thing each day for 29 days : "I decided to do the 29-Day Giving Challenge as an experiment. Her goal is to inspire at least 2,000 people to commit to the 29-Day Giving Challenge by September 29, 2008.
