69% of the organizations they looked at raised more online in 2009 than in 2008, while 31% raised less. Its findings included: The 151 nonprofits that provided data for both 2008 and 2009 reported that overall donations fell by a median of 9% while online gifts grew by 5%. Donors were still giving, but in smaller amounts.

Matching Gifts Best Practices 2009

SupportingAdvancement.com has published the results of their 2009 survey on how nonprofits are handling corporate matching gifts --their fourth such survey. The findings included: 96% of respondents accept matching gifts (down from 99% in 2008), but only 60% actively ask individual donors to request matching gifts.
