The twin book project sold over 2000 fairy story books in 2007 and more than 1000 rural students benefited from it. Through the twin code in the book, the children in cities can find contact information of rural children on Twin Book's website and make communication through letters with rural children.

We also expect to add over 100,000 new educational titles in high quality DAISY and Braille formats over the next five years, getting students the terrific quality textbooks they need for academic success!

Bookshare has grown tremendously from the 3,000 students that we were serving in 2007. As a result, we quickly became the largest online library for people with print disabilities. A little over 4 years ago, we won a competitive contract award from the US Department of Education which took a bold risk on Bookshare. and that risk paid off.

I bought my Kindle on the first day of availability, and received it the day before Thanksgiving (2007). Sort of like the iPod: not the first of its type, but the one that pointed the way forward and ignited the field. By the end of Thanksgiving, I finished reading my first book, Stardust. It's comfortable to hold and to read.

We've been developing Miradi for three years together with the Conservation Measures Partnership (which includes groups like The Nature Conservancy and the World Wildlife Fund), and began beta testing the software in 2007. I started doing this back in 2007 , when we won our first big federal contract for Bookshare, to take it from 3,000 students back then to more than 350,000 students now. Next was two days of Capitol Hill lobbying. I spend between four and ten days a year talking to Congressional staff (this year will be at the lower end of the range).
